On Saturday, July 22, 2017, members of the Niagara Regional Police conducted R.I.D.E. checkpoints within the Cities of Welland and Thorold.  Traffic was steady throughout the night and over 600 drivers were stopped and questioned regarding any alcohol consumption.  Police were very pleased to see the number of designated drivers and other people that arranged different means of transportation to get them home safely.  Just 5 roadside tests were conducted...

NRP Logo.GIF On July 16, 2017 Niagara Regional Police attended the Americana Resort in Niagara Falls for a reported theft of a large quantity of cash. Information was received that the theft occurred from the parking lot during a private event sometime around 11pm on the evening of July 15, 2017.   Based on the investigation to date, two male suspects are believed to be responsible for the theft.
