Robbery - Male Arrested For Robbery in St. Catharines

On Saturday July 15th 2017 at approximately 7:05pm, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the DollarMart in the Midtown Plaza located at 120 Welland Avenue, in the City of St. Catharines in response to a robbery that just occurred. Upon arrival, police learned that a male suspect entered the store and confronted the lone female clerk demanding money. The suspect damaged the front counter and left the store with an quantity of money.
 
Uniform officers attended the area along with a K9 unit and a male matching the description of the suspect was observed nearby. Investigation revealed that this male was the robbery suspect and as a result he was arrested.
 
Charged with one count of Robbery is 34 year old Kyle Pirko of St. Catharines. Pirko will be held for a bail hearing.
