The next Regional Municipality of Niagara Police Services Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 8:30 am.
MEETING LOCATION CHANGE:  The meeting is being held at the Township of West Lincoln City Hall, Council Chambers, located at 318 Canborough Street, Smithville, Ontario.  The doors are open to the public at 8:15 am.
In order to promote community awareness of the role of the Board and for Board members to stay in touch with community concerns over policing issues, the Board has decided to be proactive in engaging, educating and hearing from the public by holding at least two off-site meetings a year as part of its regularly scheduled meetings.
The Board will hold its first off-site meeting of the year at the Township of West Lincoln on May 25th.  Members of the public, Council members, and community groups in West Lincoln are invited to attend and speak with the members of the Police Services Board, the Chief of Police and senior police staff.  "The Board recognizes the importance of actively reaching out to our local communities and residents to engage the community on policing matters," says Chair Gale.  "There will be a public presentation from the Niagara Regional Police Service about local community safety issues and members of the community are encouraged to attend and exchange dialogue at this meeting."
Copies of the Public Meeting Agenda are available on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 on the Niagara Regional Police Service website at under Police Services Board; Agenda, or from the Board office, and limited copies will be available at the meeting.
