Detectives and uniform officers from the 5 District Fort Erie office of the Niagara Regional Police Service are investigating three robberies that occurred on January 24, 2022, in Fort Erie and Niagara Falls.

On January 21st 2022 at approximately 10:45pm, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) attended the Shell Gas Station located at 389 Ontario Street in the City of St. Catharines for an armed robbery call.
Investigation revealed that at approximately 10:15pm, a male suspect entered the store, brandished a firearm at an employee and left the store with stolen items. The male then fled the area on foot prior to police arrival.

On Monday January 24, 2022, at approximately 10:45am, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were called to Eden High School in St. Catharines following the report of a received threat.
Out of an abundance of caution, students and staff were evacuated to ensure their safety while officers searched the building.
No one was physically harmed during the incident.
Detectives are continuing to investigate, there is no known on-going threat to public safety at this time.

On Friday, January 21, 2022, Mark Christopher CIPPARONE (39 years of age) of Thorold was arrested and charged with the following offences of:
- Fraud Over $5000
- Fraud Under $5000 (2 counts)
As a result of the continued investigation, detectives charged CIPPARONE with the additional charges of :
- Fraud Under $5000 (2 Counts)
CIPPARONE was held in custody pending a bail hearing that took place on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

The Niagara Regional Police Service is currently searching for a missing 14 year old female and 13 year old female from Grimsby.
Danielle Tasse and Kamila Johnson were last seen January 21, 2022, at approximately 4:30pm in the area of Main Street W and Lampman Drive, in the City of Grimsby.
