On July 22, 2021, the Niagara Regional Police Service published a media release titled ““Public Release – Criminal Impaired Driving Offences – July 5th 2021 to July 18th, 2021”.
The media release contained the names, ages and city of residences of persons who had been charged with criminal impaired driving offences in Niagara between July 5, 2021 and July 18, 2021.
The name “Andrew H PITTS, 55 years, Niagara Falls” was added to the list in error.
Mr. Pitts was not arrested or charged for impaired...

In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service will be reporting the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offence in the Region.
In addition to being charged, these individuals are also bound by a Ministry of Transportation 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and are prohibited from operating a motor vehicle on a roadway. The public is encouraged to contact...

Grimsby detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are investigating two incidents in West Lincoln.

On July 9, 2021, 1 District uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police (NRPS) commenced a sexual assault investigation after an adult female in her teens reported an alleged sexual assault.
The investigation was assigned to the NRPS Sexual Assault Unit. As a result of the detectives investigation it was determined that the victim had been an employee at Two Guys Liquidation located on Grantham Avenue in St.Catharines. The Niagara Regional Police Service is currently investigating a theft from a parked Jeep in St. Catharines.
The initial investigation has determined that on July 3, 2021, the victim had parked her Jeep Cherokee in a parking lot on Welland Avenue at the corner of Court Street. The victim left her black leather purse in what she believed to be a locked vehicle.
When the victim returned to the vehicle a short time later she discovered that her purse and its contents had been stolen.
