Niagara Regional Police 5 District Fort Erie detectives are investigating the telephone threats to three local elementary schools that occurred this week.
As result of that investigation detectives identified two suspects. The investigation further determined that the same suspects were involved in the incidents at Stevensville Public School (January 24th), Garrison Road Public School (January 24th) and John Brant Public School (January 26th). The investigation into this incident remains active and ongoing by Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 5 District – Fort Erie detectives.
On January 24, 2023, at 2:56pm an unidentified male suspect called Garrison Road Public School in Fort Erie. The suspect threatened gun violence was going to occur at the school. The school immediately initiated safety protocols and contacted the NRPS.

Niagara Regional Police detectives are investigating a bomb threat to a Fort Erie public school.
On January 26, 2023, at 10:33am the Niagara Regional Police Service Communications Unit was contacted by school staff from John Brant Public School in Fort Erie. The school had received a bomb threat by telephone. The school implemented a shelter in place safety procedure out of an abundance of caution.

Niagara Regional Police detectives are investigating an international package containing illegal drugs.
In early January, detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) were contacted by officers from the Canada Border Service Agency.
