The Niagara Regional Police Service's commitment to road safety continued on Friday, April 19, 2019, during the Easter holiday long weekend, as officers conducted a R.I.D.E. campaign in the City of Niagara Falls.  During the course of the evening, officers stopped approximately 500 vehicles and questioned the drivers regarding any alcohol or drug consumption prior to driving.  A total of 8 drivers were requested to provide a sample of their breath for analysis. ...

In March 2019, Detectives from the #1 District Street Crime Unit began an investigation into drug trafficking in the city of St.Catharines.    On April 19th, 2019 Detectives executed a search warrant at an address in St.Catharines and seized 22 grams of cocaine,  a small amount of crack cocaine, and a quantity of Canadian currency.    Charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by crime is 34 year...

Pic 1.jpg On Wednesday April 17, 2019 at 6:35 pm the Niagara Regional Police Service's Communications Unit received a 911 call during which the caller indicated that there was an incident unfolding at the Pen Center located at 221 Glendale Avenue in the City of St. Catharines.  The 911 caller went on to state that there was imminent danger to the public and that firearms were involved. At approximately 10:55pm on Tuesday April 16, 2019 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers responded to a business in the area of Vansickle Rd and Pelham Rd in the City of St. Catharines over the report of an intrusion alarm.   Three males were observed leaving the area in a black pickup truck.
