Other - Welland Man Arrested After Discharge of Firearm

On October 9, 2018 members of the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to an emergency call of a man who had fired a shotgun twice in a residential neighborhood.
Investigation at the scene by uniform members and detectives from 3 District led to the arrest of a male and subsequent seizure of a shotgun and ammunition.
Robyn Keary, aged 56 from Welland is charged with
- Point Firearm (2 counts)
- Discharge Firearm With Intent to Wound
- Assault With A Weapon
- Aggravated Assault
- Unauthorized Possession of A Firearm
Keary was held in police custody and will appear for a bail hearing on October 10, 2018 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse at 59 Church Street, St. Catharines.
