Theft - Update : NRPS seeking assistance from public

On March 14, 2018 the Niagara Regional Police were able to recover the Hurst Extractor "Jaws of Life". The property has since been returned to the Fort Erie Fire Department.  No criminal charges are pending in this matter.

Investigators from the 5 District Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) of The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) in Fort Erie are appealing for the public's assistance in regards to an investigation involving the theft of equipment from Fort Erie Fire Department Station 5 located at 2654 Stevensville Road, Stevensville. The theft of this equipment occurred between January 29, 2018 and February 10,2018. The stolen Hurst Extractor, similar to the one in the attached photograph, is an important life-saving tool commonly referred to as "The Jaws of Life". 
Detectives from the 5 District CIB are encouraging any persons with knowledge of the incident to come forward with this information by contacting Detective Constable Michael Fletcher at the NRPS at 905-688-4111 ext.  4-9369.
