Assault - Two Parties Arrested After Niagara Falls Stabbing

At approximately 1:00am on Thursday June 6th 2019 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers responded to Culp Street and Drummond Road over reports of an assault.
 
The initial investigation by police revealed that one male had been stabbed. He was transported to hospital for critical but non-life threatening injuries.
 
Members of the #2 District Detective Services Unit commenced an investigation and as a result, police arrested two suspects responsible for the assault.

18 year old Bailey Morin is facing the alleged charges of:
- Aggravated Assault section 268(1) of the Criminal Code
- Failing to Comply with Recognizance section 145(3) of the Criminal Code

A 17 year old female is facing the alleged charge of:
- Assault section 266 of the Criminal Code
 
It is believed that this was a targeted incident.

 
Morin was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Robert S.K. Welch courthouse in the city of St. Catharines.

The 17 year old female youth cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The female youth was subsequently released from custody with a court date.

Police have identified and arrested all outstanding parties. Any witnesses are asked to contact Detectives at #905-688-4111 extension 9496.
