On December 28, 2021 at 6:40pm, Niagara Regional Police Service and West Lincoln Fire Department received a report of a Fire Call located in the area of Victoria Avenue and Tice Road, West Lincoln.

Investigation revealed that a barn was on fire and fully engulfed.

Police attended the scene and observed firefighters from both West Lincoln Fire and Pelham Fire already on scene.

There were no people on scene at the time of the incident.

Further investigation led detectives to believe the barn was a marijuana grow up operation. 

The matter remains under investigation with detectives with 8 District and the Ontario Fire Marshall.
