On Friday, October 16th, 2020, at approximately 8:00pm, 3 district (Welland) uniform officers, responded to the area of East Main Street and Golden Boulevard, in the City of Welland, in regards to an assault.

Investigation revealed that a 66 year old female was getting into her vehicle, when two unknown males wearing black hoodies approached her and demanded her car keys. The victim refused which resulted in the males attempting to take the keys out of her hand.  As a result, she was pushed to the ground. A member of the public witnessed the event unfolding and went to the aid of the female. The two suspects then fled on foot.

The female sustained non-life threatening injuries. 

The suspects are described as:

Description 1:

  • White
  • Beard
  • 35-45 years old
  • 5’11
  • 180lbs

Clothing Description:

  • Black hoody with hood up
  • Toque
  • Dark pants

  • White
  • Clean shaven
  • 5’11
  • 180lbs

Clothing Description:

  • Black hoody with hood up

One of the suspects had a whitish grey faded circular emblem that fanned out on the front of the hoody.
