Member Vaughn Stewart

Mr. Vaughn Stewart, a life-long resident of St. Catharines, was appointed to the Regional Municipality of Niagara Police Services Board by the provincial government on December 2, 2009.

Mr. Stewart is a retired educator from the District School Board of Niagara. He has spent his educational career as a teacher, vice-principal and retired as principal for the District School Board of Niagara after 31 years of dedicated service.

He has an extensive record of community service and is formerly Chair of the St. Catharines Museum Advisory Committee. Mr. Stewart has served on the Board of Directors for the Niagara Olympic Club from 1995 – 2004, and as Chair from 1998 – 2004. In addition, he has previously volunteered as a coach for the Grantham Optimist Softball Program.

Mr. Stewart was born in St. Catharines and has lived in the City of St. Catharines since 1949. He and his wife Sharon have three adult children.
