$19,000 in Illicit Substances Seized, Two Arrested – Niagara Falls
In December 2025, the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit (SCU) began an investigation into the illegal sale of drugs in the City of Niagara Falls.
On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, detectives observed two suspects placing illicit substances into a motor vehicle on Morrison Street in Niagara Falls. Detectives placed the suspects under arrest, and a judicial search warrant was sought and granted for the vehicle. Detectives located and seized the following items:
- $940 Canadian Currency
- 23.5 grams fentanyl (street value $2700)
- 63.9 grams crystal methamphetamine (street value $6390
- 66 hydromorphone tablets (street value $2640)
During the investigation, detectives observed the two suspects frequent a hotel room on Lundy’s Lane, and an apartment on Barker Street in Niagara Falls. Detectives were granted a judicial search warrant for both residences, and the following items were seized:
- 42 hydromorphone tablets (street value $840)
- 32.4 grams fentanyl (street value $6480)
- 3 functioning replica handguns
- 12-gauge shot gun round
34-year-old Matthew MYHAL of Niagara Falls is charged with the following criminal offences:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl) (2 counts)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone) (2 counts)
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 Counts)
38-year-old Staci GIBB of Niagara Falls is charged with the following criminal offences:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl) (2 counts)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone) (2 counts)
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime under $5000
MYHAL and GIBB attended a bail hearing on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street, St. Catharines.
