Controlled Substances and Guns Recovered by St. Catharines Street Crime Detectives
Since October 2025, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) assigned to the 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) Street Crime Unit have been investigating the trafficking of controlled substances in the City of St. Catharines.
During the course of the investigation, police observed numerous individuals attending a residence on Niagara Street, each for a short period of time.
On December 10 and 11, 2025, detectives executed three Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants on a vehicle, at the residential address in St. Catharines, and an additional residence in Thorold.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested three individuals and seized the following:
- - 688 grams of suspected cocaine (with an estimated street value of $68,800)
- - 91 Oxycodone pills (with an estimated street value of $455)
- -29 Hydromorphone pills (with an estimated street value of $145)
- - 9mm Smith and Wesson
- -9mm Glock
- -9mm Sig Sauer
- -Associated ammunition
- -Bundled Canadian Currency
- -6 Rolex watches
- - Jewelry and high-end purses
60-year-old Wayne Turner of St. Catharines has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
- - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- - Possession of a prohibited weapon, contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code
35-year-old Kordelle Williams of Stoney Creek has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
- - Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime over $5000, contrary to section 355(a) of the Criminal Code
- - Possession of Proceed Obtained by Crime, contrary to section 355 (a) of the Criminal Code
- -Possession of a Weapon, contrary to section 88(1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)
- -Possession of a Firearm without holding a licence, contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)
- -Possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm without knowingly holding a licence, contrary to section 92 (1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)
- - Possession loaded regulated firearm, contrary to section 95(1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)
- -Careless storage of a firearm, contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)
- - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- -Possession Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- - Possession Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Oxycodone), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
31-year-old Tayesha MacKinnon of Kingston has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
- -Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime over $5000, contrary to section 355(a) of the Criminal Code
- -Possession of Proceed Obtained by Crime, contrary to section 355 (a) of the Criminal Code
- -Possession of a Weapon, contrary to section 88(1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)
- -Possession of a Firearm without holding a licence, contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)
- -Possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm without knowingly holding a licence, contrary to section 92 (1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)
- -Possession loaded regulated firearm, contrary to section 95(1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)
- -Careless storage of a firearm, contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code (3 counts)

- -Possession Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Oxycodone), contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
Turner, Williams and MacKinnon were held in custody pending a bail hearing, which took place on Thursday December 11, 2025, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
