Fatal House Fire – Niagara Falls

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) uniform officers responded to a residence on Elm Street in the City of Niagara Falls for a house fire.

Niagara Falls Fire Department attended the scene and extinguished an active house fire. One deceased male was located within the residence.

2 District Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) has taken carriage of the investigation, in cooperation with the Ontario Fire Marshall. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service at (905) 688 4111, option 3, extension 1008877.
