Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – Niagara-on-the-Lake

On Monday April 13, 2026, at approximately 9:30 AM, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) uniform officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Niagara Stone Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake. 

Uniform officers responded to the scene in coordination with Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) and Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire and Emergency Services. Officers located a head-on two-vehicle collision. Tragically, one male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of a second vehicle was transported by Niagara Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital with minor injuries. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) has taken carriage of the investigation. Niagara Stone Road is closed between Concession 7 Road and Airport Road and is expected to remain closed for several hours.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or anyone with dash-cam or video footage of the incident to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service at (905) 688-4111, option 3, extension 1009259.
