Niagara Falls Man Charged with Drug Trafficking

On February 9, 2026, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District Street Crime Unit (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) received a community complaint with respect to a male trafficking in controlled substances.

On February 16, 2026, the suspect was identified, located and arrested.  Alden KNIGHT (39 years) of Niagara Falls is charged with the following offences.

• Possession of Proceed of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
• Possession of a Firearm, Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
• Traffic in Schedule 1 Substance

Upon his arrest, KNIGHT was found to be in possession of 7.5grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, packaged and prepared for distribution.  The drugs have an estimated street value of $750. KNIGHT was also in possession of a prohibited knife.

KNIGHT remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines.
