Shooting in Welland – Second Street and Plymouth Road

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is currently on scene on Second Street in Welland, in the area of Plymouth Road and Lincoln Street for reports of a shooting.

There is a heavy police presence in the area.  Members of the community are asked to shelter in place while our officers work to make the area safe.

Schools in the area and the Hospital are currently in lockdowns.

A large perimeter will be set up. Please avoid the area of Lincoln Street to the north, King Street to the west, Third Street to the south and Coventry to the east.
