St Catharines Male Injured in Pedestrian Hit and Run
On Friday, December 26, 2025, at approximately 5:45 pm, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers responded for a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle in the area of Pelham Road and Monck Street in the City of St Catharines.
The male was subsequently transported to an out-of-region hospital by Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) and remains in critical condition.
While on scene investigating, the driver of the motor vehicle returned.1 District officers arrested 20-year-old Gurmeet SINGH of St Catharines for the following criminal code offence:
· Failure to Remain at the Scene of an Accident Causing Bodily Harm, contrary to section 320.16(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada
SINGH was released on a Form 9 Appearance Notice with a future court date.
