UPDATE #2 – Detectives Seek Driver and Bicycle Owner in Ongoing Investigation - Pelham

On Friday, August 15, 2025, the cyclist, a 53-year-old Pelham resident, succumbed to their injuries in hospital.

Detectives are seeking dashcam, cellphone, or other surveillance footage recorded between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Welland Road, between Effingham Street and Haist Street in Pelham, that may have captured the white Dodge Ram pickup truck. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact investigators.

This investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, extension 1009569.

Members of the community who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to people who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.
