The Community Safety Survey is an opportunity for community members to share their views on safety, policing, local concerns, and opportunities to improve community well-being across Niagara.

The feedback collected will help inform priorities and initiatives under the Niagara Police Service Board (NRPS) 2026–2029 Strategic Plan.

Community safety is a shared responsibility. Understanding the experiences and priorities of community members helps ensure the Service's efforts remain responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.

The survey will help identify emerging issues and opportunities to strengthen prevention and engagement.

Community feedback also helps the Niagara Police Service Board monitor the implementation of its Strategic Plan and hold the Service accountable for achieving the community outcomes identified in the plan.

  • Anyone who lives, works, attends school, or spends significant time in Niagara is encouraged to participate.

The survey should take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete.

Responses are collected for planning and analysis purposes. Individual responses will be reviewed collectively and reported in summary form.

No. Participants may choose to skip questions they do not wish to answer.

Survey responses will be analyzed to identify key themes and trends.  Community feedback also helps the Niagara Police Service Board monitor the implementation of its Strategic Plan and hold the Service accountable for achieving the community outcomes identified in the plan.

NRPS intends to share high-level findings and key themes with the community following completion of the survey within six months of survey closing.

To ensure the integrity of the results, participants are encouraged to complete the survey only once.

The survey includes questions related to:

•    Community priorities and opportunities for improvement

The survey can be completed online through the survey link available on the NRPS website and social media channels.  Residents may also access the survey by scanning a QR code available on promotional materials distributed throughout the community.
