15-Year-Old Female Arrested for Assault in Port Dalhousie Disturbance

On Friday, June 12, 2026, just before 8:00p.m., officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) Uniform Patrol responded to Lakeside Park in Port Dalhousie (St. Catharines) for reports of a large disturbance.

Witnesses reported several teenage females attacking another teenage female out near the snack shack located within the park.  Officers arrived on scene and found a 17-year-old female victim suffering from injuries about her head and face that she had sustained in the attack.

Officers were able to identify one of the suspects.  That person was arrested and identified as a 15-year-old female from St. Catharines.  Under provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the female can not be publicly identified.

1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) has taken carriage of the investigation.  Detectives are asking for anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service’s 1 District CIB at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009222.

There have been other reports of disturbances at the beach in Port Dalhousie this year and 1 District has increased their uniform presence in the area with enforcement as the top priority.
