Road Rage Incident Leads to Weapons and Drug Trafficking Charges – Niagara Falls
On June 25, 2026, uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) were called to a road rage incident in the city of Niagara Falls. One of the involved people involved produced a gun which prompted the call to police.
Detectives in the 2 District Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB), continued the investigation. They were able to identify a suspect, and search warrants were obtained for the suspect’s residence and vehicles in Niagara Falls.
On June 26, 2026, detectives executed the search warrant and located the following items.
- Approximately 245 grams of suspected Fentanyl
- Approximately 1191 grams of suspected Cocaine
- A large quantity of Canadian Currency
- Items consistent with the trafficking of illegal drugs
29-year-old Randolf BOANZIE of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with the following offences.
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking (Opioid Fentanyl)
BOANZIE was held in custody for a bail hearing at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines, and was remanded in custody.
Detectives were unable to locate the black handgun believed to have been utilized during the confrontation with the victim. The gun’s whereabouts remain unknown.
