Update 1 – Located Safe - St. Catharines Male Missing – Police Requesting Public Assistance
Detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines /Thorold) Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) would like to thank the public for their quick assistance in this incident. The missing male, Dale WALLACE, has been located safely and there is no criminality in this incident.
The NRPS has removed Dale’s photo from the original media release and our social media for his privacy. We ask the public and media outlets to consider doing the same.

ORIGINAL MEDIA RELEASE - St. Catharines Male Missing – Police Requesting Public Assistance
Detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) are investigating a missing person incident in St. Catharines.
On July 22, 2026, 82-year-old Dale Wallace was reported missing from his home in the Scott Street and Vine Street North area of St. Catharines. Dale was last seen near his residence heading towards a plaza at approximately 9:00 a.m. on July 22, 2026.
1 District uniformed officers, with assistance from the K9 Unit, are actively searching the area around Dale’s residence. Detectives have concerns about Dale’s wellbeing and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.
Dale is described as follows:
- Male
- White
- 5'10” tall
- Slim build
- Grey/white hair
- Clean shaven
- Possibly wearing a grey cardigan, a yellow shirt, blue sweatpants, beige running shoes and glasses
