Crime Prevention Week

The Niagara Regional Police Service is joining police services and community partners across Ontario to recognize Crime Prevention Week, taking place November 1-7, 2026. Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) helps create safer spaces through thoughtful design, regular maintenance and a shared sense of ownership. At home, measures such as well-placed exterior lighting, trimmed landscaping, security cameras and video doorbells can improve visibility and help reduce opportunities for crime.

Sexual Assault: Support and Reporting Options

If you’ve experienced sexual assault, what happened was not your fault. Whether it happened recently or years ago, you can reach out for support and learn what to expect if you choose to report to police.

Safer Communities Start with Connection

Through community partnerships, awareness and prevention, the Niagara Regional Police Service works alongside residents, businesses and local organizations to support the safety and well-being of everyone who lives in or visits Niagara. By sharing information and looking out for one another, we all contribute to a safer, more connected community.
