1 District CIB Investigating St Catharines Stabbing
On Sunday, August 23, 2026, at approximately 10:10 PM, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers responded to the area of Fourth Avenue and First Street Louth for a stabbing.
An 18-year-old male was transported by Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigating officers learned that the male was involved in an altercation on Vansickle Road near McCaffery Crescent and was transported to this location for medical assistance.
1 District Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) has taken carriage of the investigation. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service at (905) 688-411, option 3, extension 1009222.
