2025 NRPS Annual Report
The Niagara Regional Police Service has released the 2025 Annual Report, reflecting on a year marked by strong community partnerships and ongoing innovation as well as the dedicated work of our members in keeping Niagara safe.
Throughout the year, the Service remained focused on preventing harm and supporting vulnerable individuals through collaborative, community-based approaches. Working alongside local organizations and service providers, members continued to address complex social issues while helping connect people with the supports they need.
The report also highlights meaningful progress in initiatives aimed at enhancing community safety, along with continued investments in technology and data-informed policing. These efforts help ensure the Service is well-positioned to respond to emerging challenges while meeting the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
Road safety, crime prevention, and proactive enforcement remained key priorities throughout the year. At the same time, the report recognizes the professionalism and commitment demonstrated every day by our members, both sworn and civilian.
“Over the past year, our members have continued to respond to complex and evolving challenges with professionalism and a commitment to excellence. Whether supporting vulnerable individuals, enhancing road safety, investigating crime, or embracing innovative policing strategies, their efforts have helped make Niagara a safer place to live, work, and visit” said Chief of Police Bill Fordy.
“Public safety is a shared responsibility, and the progress highlighted in this report would not be possible without the collaboration of our community partners. As we look ahead, we remain committed to building on this work through accountability and meaningful engagement with the communities we serve."
“The 2025 Annual Report highlights the Niagara Regional Police Service’s ongoing commitment to community safety and Service excellence. The Niagara Police Service Board extends its sincere appreciation to the Chief and Members of the Niagara Regional Police Service for their continued professionalism and dedication to community safety; and as a Board we remain committed to providing strong governance, accountability, and strategic oversight to support effective, community-focused policing that meets the evolving needs of Niagara residents.” said Niagara Region Police Service Board Chair Nyarayi Kapisavanhu.
