57-year-old Niagara Falls Man Charged in Historic Sex Assault
In May 2026, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Child Abuse Unit (CAU) and Human Trafficking Unit (HTU) began an investigation into allegations of historic sexual assault on a person under the age of 16. The offences are alleged to have taken place in 2004 in the City of Welland.
On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 57-year-old Rodney HOLLINGWORTH of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
- Sexual Assault
HOLLINGWORTH remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines.
