Collision Reconstruction Unit Investigating Single Motorcycle Collision - Thorold
On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred on River Street, south of Cross Street, in the City of Thorold.
The driver of a Black Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling southbound on River Street and failed to negotiate a bend in the roadway resulting in a single motor vehicle collision. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to an out-of-region hospital. There were no other injuries as a result of the collision.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) has taken carriage of the investigation and are requesting residents and businesses in the area of River Street review video surveillance footage and contact police if the driver is observed.
