Detectives Investigating Serious Collision in Fort Erie
On Sunday, September 6, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., 5 District (Fort Erie) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Helena Street and Dominion Road in the Town of Fort Erie.
The collision involved a white Nissan sport utility vehicle and a red Harley-Davidson three-wheeled motorcycle.
Both occupants of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to an out-of-region hospital.
A passenger in the Nissan was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
Detectives with the NRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit have taken carriage of the investigation, with assistance from the Forensic Services Unit. The intersection was closed while investigators examined the scene and reopened at approximately 9:00 p.m.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
