Detectives Requesting Public Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspect
On Thursday, September 17, 2026, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers responded to a business on Bunting Road in St Catharines for a robbery that had just occurred.
Investigating officers determined that a male entered the store and brandished a knife, making a demand for money. The male fled the store after taking a small quantity of currency and was last seen eastbound on Greenwood Avenue.
The suspect is described as follows:
- Male
- Approximately 20 years old
- Dark skin
- Beige hooded sweatshirt
- Black balaclava
- Grey sweatpants
- Black running shoes
- Grey pouch
1 District Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) has taken carriage of the investigation. Residents and businesses in the area of Bunting Road near Greenwood Avenue are asked to review any video surveillance footage and contact police if the suspect is observed.
