Motor Vehicle Dismantling Operation Shutdown by 8 District Detectives - $174,000 in Stolen Goods Recovered
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln/West Lincoln) uniform officers responded to an address on Grimsby Road near Concession 7 in the Town of West Lincoln. Officers received information that a stolen pick-up truck and trailer were being tracked to the property. Officers located a stolen 2024 Dodge Ram Pick-up truck on the rural property, and a 38-year-old male was arrested at the scene.
Detectives with the 8 District Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) took carriage of the investigation and applied for judicial search warrants for the property. The search warrants were executed, and it was discovered that the property was being used as a motor vehicle dismantling operation.
With assistance from the Hamilton Police Service Auto-Theft Unit and the Equite Association, the search warrant was executed, and the following stolen items were recovered:
- 2 Dodge Ram Pick-up Trucks
- 2 Dismantled Pick-up Trucks
- CAT Backhoe
- A large quantity of packaged car parts
The value of recovered stolen goods is estimated to be $174,000.
38-year-old Jason NEAVE of West Lincoln is charged with the following criminal offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (4 counts)
NEAVE was released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date.
