Motorcycle Collision Results in Two Fatalities - Welland

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, at approximately 8:20 AM, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 3 District (Welland/Pelham) uniform officers responded to the area of Ontario Road near Hobson Avenue for a motor vehicle collision.

Upon arriving on scene, officers located a black Yamaha motorcycle with two occupants that had collided into the side of a black Honda Civic sedan. Despite life-saving efforts, one male occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second female occupant was transported by Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) to an out-of-region hospital however, she tragically succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the sedan was not injured.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) has taken carriage of the investigation. Members of the public are asked to review dash camera and video surveillance footage at the time of the incident and contact police if either vehicle is observed.
