Niagara Falls Drug Trafficking Seizure Worth Over $200,000 - 30-Year-Old Male Charged
In October of 2026, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit (SCU) along with detectives with the Opioid Enforcement and Education Unit (OEEU) commenced an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs in the City of Niagara Falls.
A suspect was identified and on October 20, 2026, detectives arrested 30-year-old Anthony CRISTOBAL for drug trafficking offences. CRISTOBAL is from the Greater Toronto Area and has recently found a temporary residence in Niagara Falls.
Detectives were granted judicial authorization to search that residence in the Zimmerman Avenue and Queen Street area of Niagara Falls, along with a vehicle, both belonging to the accused.
The search of the residence and the vehicle resulted in the seizure of the following items.
- 811.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- 710.1 grams of suspected cocaine
- 540.9 grams of suspected fentanyl
- 70 tablets of suspected hydromorphone
- 32 tablets of suspected oxycodone
- 160 tablets of suspected dextroamphetamine
- $31,580 in cash
- Rolex Watch
- Property consistent with the trafficking of drugs
The street value of the seized drugs exceeded a value of $200,000.
CRISTOBAL has been charged with the following offences.
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking (Opioid Fentanyl)
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking (Opioid Hydromorphone)
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking (Opioid Oxycodone)
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance for Trafficking
CRISTOBAL was held in custody for a bail hearing which took place October 21, 2026, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St. Catharines.
