Niagara Falls Weapons Investigation Results in Seizure of 3 Firearms, 4 Arrested

In August 2026, detectives with the 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit (SCU) commenced an investigation into the unauthorized possession of firearms at an address on Johnson Drive in Niagara Falls.

Detectives applied for and were granted a judicial search warrant for the residence. On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the search warrant was executed with assistance from the Emergency Task Unit (ETU), Tactical Support Group (TSG), Canine Unit, and 2 District uniform officers.

As a result of the investigation, the following items were seized:

  • Silver Revolver
  • Sawed-off Shotgun
  • .22 Rifle

32-year-old Malakai DILKS of Niagara Falls is charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Careless Storage of a Firearm (3 counts)
  • Possess a Loaded Regulated Firearm (2 counts)
  • Possess Firearm without Holding a License (3 counts)

30-year-old Krystle WALLACE of Niagara Falls is charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Careless Storage of a Firearm (3 counts)
  • Possess a Loaded Regulated Firearm (2 counts)
  • Possess Firearm without Holding a License (3 counts)

33-year-old Jordan WALLACE of Niagara Falls is charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Careless Storage of a Firearm (3 counts)
  • Possess a Loaded Regulated Firearm (2 counts)

59-year-old Tracey WINTEMUTE of Niagara Falls is charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Careless Storage of a Firearm (3 counts)
  • Possess a Loaded Regulated Firearm (2 counts)
  • Possess Firearm without Holding a License (3 counts)

DILKS remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St Catharines. K. WALLACE, J. WALLACE, and WINTEMUTE were released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date.
