Serious Motor Vehicle Collision - Welland
On Sunday, May 31, 2026, at approximately 1:05 AM, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 3 District (Welland/Pelham) uniform officers responded to the area of Broadway and Riverside Drive in the City of Welland for a motor vehicle collision.
Responding officers located a single motor vehicle collision involving a grey Chevrolet Cobalt and a hydro pole. Two occupants were ejected from the vehicle during the collision, and one occupant was located within the vehicle. An adult male and an adult female were transported to an out-of-region hospital by Niagara Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) with serious injuries. A second adult female was transported to local hospital with minor injuries.
This incident remains under investigation, and no charges have been laid at this time. Officers are requesting any residents or businesses in the area of the collision review any video surveillance footage or dash camera footage from the time of the accident and contact the Niagara Regional Police Service at (905) 688-4111, option 3, extension 1080182.
