Serious Power-Assisted Bicycle Collision Under Investigation in Lincoln

Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a serious collision involving a power-assisted bicycle in the Town of Lincoln.

On Thursday, July 30, 2026, at approximately 7:50 p.m., 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln/West Lincoln) uniform officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving injuries on Spiece Road, approximately 400 metres north of Fly Road, in Lincoln.

The initial investigation determined that two 65-year-old female riders from St. Catharines were travelling northbound on power-assisted bicycles when one rider lost control of her bicycle and fell.

The injured rider was transported to an out-of-region hospital where she remains in life-threatening condition.

Members of the Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and have assumed carriage of the investigation.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash camera footage from the area of Spiece Road between Fly Road and Greenlane Road between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on July 30, 2026, to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009259.
