St Catharines Man Facing Internet Child Exploitation Charges
In January 2026, the Niagara Regional Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE Unit), with assistance from the Brantford Police Service, began a proactive undercover investigation into a person who used the Internet to connect and meet with children for a sexual purpose.
On Monday, February 9, 2026, the Niagara Regional Police Service ICE Unit and Technological Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in St. Catharines and seized digital devices capable of storing electronic data.
34-year-old Jordan BOLGER of St Catharines was arrested for the following criminal offences:
- Luring a Child via Telecommunication to Facilitate Making Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- Possession of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- Fail to Comply with Prohibition Order (2 counts)
On Monday, May 4, 2026, detectives completed a review of the forensic extraction of BOLGER’s digital devices and have added the following criminal charges:
- Possession of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- Make Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
BOLGER has remained in custody since his initial arrest and is scheduled to attend court on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St Catharines.
Detectives believe that BOLGER went by the usernames “Jay”, “N#1” and “aljayn01” on online platforms to commit offences against children.
