Suspect Sought in Welland Stabbing
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, at approximately 9:10 p.m., uniformed officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 3 District (Welland/Pelham) were called to the local hospital for a report of an adult female being treated for a stab wound.
Officers attended and discovered that a second adult female was at the hospital also being treated for a stab wound. Their investigation revealed that an altercation took place sometime between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on October 10, 2026, near the intersection of Tucker Street and Lamb Crescent in the city of Thorold. That altercation took place between two youth males and an unknown male suspect. The altercation turned physical and the two adult females tried to intervene, as one of the youths was related to the females. The suspect armed himself with a knife, wounding the two adult females and one of the youth males. The injuries sustained were minor.
Detectives with the 3 District Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) have taken carriage of the investigation. They are asking for members of the public who live in or were in the area of the altercation at the time to check available security or dashcam video footage of the suspect. The suspect male is being described as follows.

- White
- 16-20 years of age
- 5’8” in height
- Short brown hair
- Wearing a red sweater, possibly plaid or checkered
