Two Arrested for Multiple Cannabis Store Break and Enters

In August 2026, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit (SCU) began an investigation into a string of break and enters that targeted Cannabis stores throughout the Region of Niagara.

A White 2024 Buick Envista was identified as a suspect vehicle and an associated address was identified on Garner Road in the City of Niagara Falls.

A judicial search warrant was applied for and granted for both the Buick Envista and the residence. On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the 2 District SCU executed the warrants with assistance from the Emergency Task Unit (ETU), 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) SCU, Canine Unit (K9), Tactical Support Group (TSG), and 2 District uniform officers. After an extensive stand-off, two suspects exited the residence and were arrested without incident.

As a result of the investigation, detectives recovered a large quantity of stolen property and seized suspect clothing and break and enter instruments which had been used during the commission of the offences.
