On Monday, May 12, 2025, at approximately 4:30pm Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 5 District (Fort Erie) uniform officers responded to the area of Ridge Road South and Rebstock Road in the Town of Fort Erie following reports of a collision.
The collision involved a 42-year-old male operating an eBike and a 2021 grey Cadillac XT5 driven by a 61-year-old male. As a result of the collision, the eBike rider sustained serious injuries.
He was treated at the scene by Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics before being transported to a local hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to an out-of-region hospital for further treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from the NRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit and members of the Forensic Services Unit attended the scene to support the ongoing investigation.
