Officers from the 3 District – Welland/Pelham office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are searching for missing person John “Blake” Holoday.

John has been missing since May 8, 2025. He was briefly seen by his family on May 11, 2025, in Welland, and last communicated with them on May 18, 2025. However, he has not returned home. John was reported missing to the NRPS on May 19, 2025.

It is believed John may be staying with friends in the Welland area who are unaware that he has been reported missing. He is known to travel on foot.

John (see photo) is described as:

  • White male
  • Approximately 100 lbs with a slender build
  • 5’5” tall
  • Blonde hair

He may be wearing:

  • Black Jordan jogging pants and a black Jordan hoodie, or
  • Grey jogging pants and a clay-coloured sweater

Police and John’s family are concerned for his well-being. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009395.  Anyone who may John's current location should call the NRPS Communicatins Unit 905-688-4111 "dispatch". 

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.  Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.
