Update 1 - April 25, 2024 - Suspect photo

Detectives continue to investigate the robbery that occurred on April 22, 2024.

As a result, detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as:

Male

White

5’11

Wearing a plain blue bandana over his chin/mouth and nose, blue jacket with emblem on the left chest, blue jeans, black and white sole running shoes. 

His right hand was in his front right jacket pocket while his left hand carried a blue reusable shopping bag. The suspect wore black gloves.

The matter remains under investigation with 8 District detectives. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009383.

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.

Original Release - April 23, 2024

On Monday, April 22nd, 2024, at approximately 9:00pm, 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln/West Lincoln) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) attended the Cannabis Cupboard, located at 4506 Ontario Street in the Town of Beamsville, in response to a robbery.

Investigation revealed an unknown suspect entered the store brandished a suspected gun at an employee and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled North on Ontario Street on foot. 

The employee was not physically injured as a result of the incident. 

An NRPS K9 Unit attended the call however they did not find the suspect.
