On Friday April 12th, 2024, at approximately 7:00pm, 6 District (Port Colborne) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service were conducting general patrol in the area of Lakeshore Road and Bessey Road in the Town of Wainfleet when they observed a vehicle driving erratically.

A marked cruiser was stopped at an intersection when it observed the vehicle drive through the stop sign, narrowly striking the cruiser. The vehicle then swerved to avoid the cruiser and collided into a guard rail.

An adult male driver and two passengers were observed in the vehicle and there were no physical injuries as a result of the incident.

Zachery SEEBACH (19 years old) of Port Colborne, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Impaired operation
  • Impaired operation exceed blood alcohol concentration
  • Dangerous operation
  • Disobey stop sign
  • Fail to have insurance card
  • Novice driver – B.A.C above zero

SEEBACH was released on a Form 10-Undertaking with a future court date.
