Missing person Dora Hamilton has been located and is safe.

The NRPS would like to thank the public and media for their assistance with his matter.

Dora’s photo has been removed from the original media release and our social media for her privacy.  We would ask the public and media to consider doing the same.

Original Release – July 18, 2022 – 7:39pm

Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 3 District officers are searching for 79-year-old Dora Hamilton of Pelham. At approximately 3:00pm on July 18, 2022, she was reported missing.

On July 18, 2022, at approximately 11:00am, Dora left her Pelham home to run errands that included stops in Welland and Pelham. She left driving a 4-door grey/black 2010 Toyota Corolla (Ontario Licence Plate “SK8RR”).  Dora was seen on July 18, 2022, at approximately 11:15am in a grocery store on Highway 20 near Haist Street in Pelham.

She was last seen driving her Toyota at 5:50pm on July 18, 2022, in Niagara Falls in the area of Whirlpool Road and the Niagara Parkway.

Her current location is unknown.

Dora is described as:

  • 5’3 ft. tall
  • 125 lbs.
  • Wavy hair to collar

Dora is wearing (see photo):

  • Light coloured shirt
  • Blue jeans
  • Sandals
  • Possibly a ¾ length coat

Dora’s family and the police are concerned for her welfare.  Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Dora is asked to call NRPS police dispatch at 905-688-4111.  Anyone with information about this incident can contact detectives by calling 905-688-4111, extension 1029318.
