In February of 2024, detectives from the 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Arad Street and Drummond Road in the City of Niagara Falls.

During the warrant execution, detectives observed a bullet hole in the residence. Detectives with the 2 District detective office then began an investigation and were able to determine that on September 29th, 2023, two male suspects attended the residence, brandished a long gun, and demanded money from victims in the residence.  The suspects fired a shot from the gun during the robbery. There were no physical injuries.

Detectives were able to identify two male suspects. 

Chasen MICHAUD-BLACKMORE (28 years old) of St. Catharines was arrested and charged on April 11, 2024 with the following offences:

  • Robbery
  • Pointing a firearm (2 Counts)
  • Possession of a firearm without holding a licence
  • Discharge firearm with intent to wound, endanger life
  • Discharge a firearm into/at a place in a reckless manner

MICHAUD-BLACKMORE was held in custody pending a bail hearing that was expected to take place on April 12, 2024, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines.

Ahmed Mohamed MANSOUR (25 years old) of no fixed address, is currently in custody and will be charged with the following offences at his next court date.  

  • Robbery
  • Pointing a firearm (2 Counts)
  • Possession of a firearm without holding a licence
  • Discharge firearm with intent to wound, endanger life
  • Discharge a firearm into/at a place in a reckless manner
