Submitting Your Application


Applications for the position of Police Constable are only accepted online. Paper applications that are mailed or dropped off in person are no longer accepted. You will find the online application portal at the bottom of this page.

Before you begin:

Ensure you have the required material before you begin the online application. The process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete. For the online application, you can expect to include:

  1. Name, Address, Telephone Numbers and Email address
  2. ALL employment history including names of supervisors, positions held, dates you were employed, telephone numbers, reasons for leaving and final salary.
  3. Three (3) character references including names, addresses, occupations, telephone numbers and addresses.
  4. Your hobbies and interests
  5. Any additional qualifications you have.


Completing the Application:

You will begin by completing the online application form in it's entirety.

After completing the online application, you will have the ability to upload required documents. At the time of your initial application, ONLY THE FOLLOWING WILL BE ACCEPTED:

  1. Cover Letter and Resume
  2. OACP Certificate of Results (Obtained through Applicant Testing Services)                                                    *If you have been issued more than one certificate or updates, those must be included. Both sides must be scanned if there are any stamps on the reverse.
  3. First Aid/CPR Certificate – Level 'C'
  4. All transcripts (High School & Post-Secondary even if only partially completed)
  5. Consent and Release of Liability Waiver signed and witnessed

We understand that you may have reference letters, course certificates and other documention you wish to provide. Should you be selected to participate in the recruiting process, that information will be requested at a later time (ie. the background investigation). Your resume and cover letter should contain all the important information about yourself.
