Bill Steele, Chair of the Niagara Police Services Board, welcomed back Vice-Chair Dave Eke to the Police Services Board.  Mr. Eke was re-appointed by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for an additional one year term commencing November 3, 2022.  He was first appointed to the Board on June 20, 2019.

Thanksgiving - NRPS R.I.D.E.Check

On Saturday, October 8th, 2022, members of the Niagara Regional Police conducted R.I.D.E. spot checks within the cities of Welland and Thorold.

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Sexual Assault Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding a sexual assault that occurred on September 21st, 2022, at approximately 5:30pm along a hiking trail associated to the Mel Swart Lake Gibson Conservation Park, in the City of Thorold.
