As a result of a continuing investigation 5 District Criminal Investigation Branch Detectives were able to identify Robert SHEWELL as the individual sought for the robbery that had occurred on November 30, 2019 at the Pioneer gas station.
There is currently an arrest warrant for SHEWELL for the charge of Robbery. His present whereabouts remain unknown.

Detectives from the 3 District Criminal Investigations Branch continue to investigate the break and enter at the Wainfleet Esso gas station.

At approximately 7:00pm on Tuesday December 3rd, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers were called to a home in the area of Queenston St and Church St in the City of St. Catharines following the report of a sudden death. On Tuesday, December 3, 2019, the Niagara Regional Police kicked off their Festive R.I.D.E. Campaign by conducting sobriety check points at two locations within the City of St. Catharines. Both of the locations were very busy and in total approximately 1100 vehicles were stopped. Each driver was questioned if they had consumed any alcohol or cannabis prior to operating their vehicle.
